Camillia Morris is murdered
on her way home from work. Thomas Sakali, her life long friend, and editor–in-chief of a local newspaper called the
Gopher, is determined to find the person responsible and bring them to justice. Thomas complicates the case by planting evidence
at the crime scene to incriminate the man he believes responsible for the crime. It all backfires and causes him not only
to incriminate himself, but almost lose his beloved paper as well.
Salil Dhawan and Rebecca Baxter have written a
fast-paced crime drama with a great many complications to overcome before bringing the real perpetrator to justice. The reader
becomes suspicious of several people, before the story comes to a satisfying conclusion. I would like to have seen the authors
flesh out their characters more, but overall it is a good story.
